FarmerMoni is the Federal Government of Nigeria’s interest‑free, collateral‑free loan window for smallholder farmers under the Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP), now managed by the National Social Investment Programmes Agency (NSIPA).

FarmerMoni Eligibility & Requirements

  • Be a Nigerian citizen
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Be a smallholder farmer actively engaged in crop, livestock or fish farming in Nigeria
  • Reside within any Nigerian state or the FCT

FarmerMoni GEEP Loan Requirements

Exact requirements can change with policy but typically include:

  • BVN (Bank Verification Number)
  • NIN (National Identification Number)
  • Valid means of identification, such as
    • National ID Card
    • Voter’s Card
    • Driver’s License
    • International Passport (where accepted)
  • Active mobile phone number
    – for OTPs, verification and loan updates.
  • Bank account details
    – bank name and account number for payment and repayment (where applicable).
  • Farm information, for example:
    • Type of farming (crop, livestock, fish, or mixed)
    • Farm location (village, town, LGA, state)
    • Farm size (approximate) or number of animals/fish
    • How long you have been farming
  • Cooperative/association details (if applicable)
    – for farmers belonging to recognized farmer groups, associations, or cooperatives.

  1. I wish to apply for market moni grant. I ve started the project 5yrs ago (oilpalm/mango 12acre plantation &cashew/sheanut) plantation. 12 acre in mokwa local govt. Niger state. I need acapital for expansion ,fencing & borehole for irrigation for raining &dry season farming you are welcome for site inspection when need arise . I shall be greatful for anticipated cooperation.
